Description:

VALERA USA is a start-up distribution subsidiary of the swiss company (est. 1955) producing VALERA haircare appliances.

We are looking for talented Sales Managers to drive acquisition and growth with regional and national distributors, responsible for their long term growth, success, and profitability.

People with the right mix of talent and enthusiasm, with proven leadership, analytical, communication, sales skills and nationwide mobility are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Develop the distributors and customers network to meet sales targets.
  • Strategically identify and target key potential customers/accounts.
  • Create and maintain wide level of relationships within the assigned accounts.
  • Routinely travel to assigned accounts to develop relationships, educate distributor field sales people and store managers and increase sales.
  • Participate as needed in national and regional trade shows.
  • Execute promotionally effective marketing and sales programs at distributor level.
  • Suggest creative sales and marketing concepts to Management. Collaborate with our marketing dept.
  • Direct, supervise and work together with regional Reps.
  • Expedite and forward to the company weekly reports and expense reports.
  • Plan out your monthly travel schedule before the start of each month.
  • Reports directly to the Sales Director.

Qualifications, required skills and licenses:  

  • Willing to work approx. 3 weeks in US and 1 week in Switzerland
  • Willing to travel in USA and Canada up to 70% of the time
  • Willing to work for long time alone – periodically accompanied by superior manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master preferred
  • 3-5+ years experience managing Distributors in the beauty industry with a proven track record of success
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to train others
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
  • Detailed oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Embrace an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Industry / Retail Knowledge preferred
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and most used office applications
  • Able to close sales and maximize contract compliance
  • Ability to succeed in non-structured environment, team player
  • Strong Business acumen demonstrated thorough understanding of sales and profit drivers and budget attainment
  • Organizing, planning and time management skills (Strong work ethic)
  • Knowledge of business and management principles; sales and marketing; and customer service
